Can I help my child change their mood?

Can I help my child change their mood?

Do children have emotions? Can I help my child change their mood? If we as humans are made up of energy children are human. I wish I had known some of the processes by Ester and Jerry Hicks when my boys were younger. One of my boys was extremely emotional and would melt down at the drop of a hat. In the book Ask and it is Given by Ester and Jerry Hicks several processes would be helpful, especially if you played them as games when there was no melt-down present. So as a child most could not tell you where their set point is on a scale of 1 to 10. Their set point would be a descriptive word as to how they feel. In teaching a young toddler a process as if it were a game, you could start the process of teaching them to reach for better-feeling thoughts. I know my young grandchildren love to make faces and talk about feelings. It could look something like this. Depending on the age of the child and his or her ability to communicate. You might first ask how they are feeling. Remember we are making this a game. It is ok to be silly and coax your child into playing along. If they do not respond you could make a silly face and say I am feeling silly. Then tell the child it is their turn. See if you can get them to give you any feelings at all. Let’s say the response you get is a sad face. Be sure and let them know that is right that is how we play. It is very important not to make them feel negative feelings about their feelings or they may just shut down completely. Then respond with a little bit better feeling. Refer to the attached picture of an emotional guidance scale from the book “Ask and it is Given” by Abraham-Hicks. Keep in mind a lot is happing here. You have the opportunity to teach this beautiful little soul 4 things

  1. You are teaching him/her different emotions.
  2. What do they look like
  3. How to reach for a better feeling (we will get to that part) Shifting energy/vibrations.
  4. How to be playful (not everyone can be playful)

If your child needs more visuals to help encourage them to think of emotion there are many emotion charts for kids you can find on the internet quite quickly to help them reference their own emotions. If the child is very young it would be great to play around with all the feelings and emotions so they can get a better understanding of feelings.

A little bit older

Once the child understands the different emotions and what they are, you can switch things up a bit to teach them how to reach for a better feeling thought. This can be very informative to parents later when a child may struggle to communicate. They may find this game to be a way to communicate their feelings. That would be a reason to start teaching this game as young as they can grasp it.

Reaching for a better feeling thought

Like attracts like. That being said the entire goal here is to teach children how to shift their energy. To show them that they are in control of their energy and that they can raise their vibrations. https://holisticenergyspecialist.com/blog/how-powerful-are-my-thoughts/
